Wireless internet service can be one of two things. It can be a stand alone service that requires a modem. Like the service from Clearwire. Or, it can be an add on service through your cellular phone service provider. This kind of service is usually for laptops and requires a special wireless card from your specific provider. It is also usually bundled with your cellular service. Satellite internet service is high speed internet service through a satellite television company. It requires a special modem and can usually be bundled with your television service. Both services are available in several different configurations and speeds. They are both considered high speed internet service. Satellite internet service is more likely to be available in rural or remote areas.
